The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit professional organization whose stated mission is "to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence".

SPE provides a worldwide forum for oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) professionals to exchange technical knowledge and best practices. SPE manages OnePetro and PetroWiki, in addition to publishing magazines, peer-reviewed journals, and books. SPE also hosts more than 100 events each year across the globe as well as providing online tools and in-person training opportunities. SPE's technical library (OnePetro) contains more than 200,000 technical papers—products of SPE conferences and periodicals, made available to the entire industry.

SPE has offices in Dallas, Houston, Calgary, London, Dubai, Moscow and Kuala Lumpur. SPE is a professional association for more than 156,000 engineers, scientists, managers, and educators. There are about 72,000 student members of SPE.

JoVE is the world-leading producer and provider of science videos with the mission to improve scientific research and education. Millions of scientists, educators and students at thousands of universities, colleges, hospitals and biopharmaceutical companies worldwide use JoVE for their research, teaching and learning.

ASEP is the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers, the main goal of which is to promote the development of editorial and publishing activities in the scientific field, to consolidate the Russian scientific editorial and publishing community, to improve the quality of scientific publications of the Association members, to develop and strengthen professional ties of the Association members at the international level.

Association of Forensic Medical Experts

The Association of Forensic Medicine Experts aims to unite and coordinate the efforts of specialists in the field of forensic medical examination to ensure a high level of professionalism and effectiveness in this area. It is focused on the development of forensic expert activities, the protection of experts' rights, and the provision of information, legal, and other services to its members. The Association actively promotes scientific research and the development of theoretical and practical aspects of forensic medicine, striving for a unified scientific and methodological approach to conducting examinations. Additionally, the organization is involved in the training of forensic medical experts in accordance with current legislation, participates in the development of health protection norms and regulations, as well as in the certification and attestation of specialists. An important part of the Association's activities is to strengthen professional ties among experts and to address issues related to their professional activities, contributing to the enhancement of the status and significance of forensic medical expertise in society.

Crossref (formerly styled CrossRef) is an official digital object identifier (DOI) Registration Agency of the International DOI Foundation. It is run by the Publishers International Linking Association Inc. (PILA) and was launched in early 2000 as a cooperative effort among publishers to enable persistent cross-publisher citation linking in online academic journals.

Crossref is a not-for-profit association of about 2,000 voting member publishers who represent 4,300 societies and publishers, including both commercial and not-for-profit organizations. Crossref includes publishers with varied business models, including those with both open access and subscription policies. Crossref does not provide a database of fulltext scientific content. Rather, it facilitates the links between distributed content hosted at other sites.

Crossref interlinks millions of items from a variety of content types, including journals, books, conference proceedings, working papers, technical reports, and data sets. Linked content includes materials from Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) disciplines. The expense is paid for by Crossref Member publishers. Crossref provides the technical and business infrastructure to provide for this reference linking using digital object identifiers (DOIs). Crossref provides deposit and query service for its DOIs.

In addition to the DOI technology linking scholarly references, Crossref enables a common linking contract among its participants. Members agree to assign DOIs to their current journal content and they also agree to link from the references of their content to other publishers' content. This reciprocity is an important component of what makes the system work.

Non-publisher organizations can participate in Crossref by becoming affiliates. Such organizations include libraries, online journal hosts, linking service providers, secondary database providers, search engines and providers of article discovery tools.
